Covered Deck & Pool Deck

This new addition added a great outdoor space to the home.  Utilizing 6x6 for the posts, 4x4s for the gussets, more than 200 lag screws, French drain underneath, and 2x6 floorboards ensure that this great space is will last longer than a standard deck.  Added stability will put less stress on the boards, resulting in longer life.  Wiring for the 5 outlets and 2 fans allows for a modern and comfortable outdoor experience.  Our custom 12" wide rail at a standard bar height allows for a great spot for overlooking the backyard and pool.

Deck overlooking creek

This deck needed some TLC.  The original design didn't allow us to put our standard 2x6 floorboards, so we had to go with regular deck boards, which are fine but don't last as long.  After replacing the rotted parts of the frame, the new floorboards had a great foundation to sit on.  The hog wire fence rail was decided through discussion and suggestions with the owner and turned out looking great! We were also able to put our signature oversized rail, a 2x8 this time, which makes the rail more than just a safety guard; it looks appealing and becomes a useable part of the deck.  Tear down and rebuild took us 2 and a half days.

Second Story deck by pool and Lake

We took down the old rotting deck, did a little redesign, and put this 47 ft x 20ft deck back to its proper form of elegance and even increased the size a little.  Extra blocking throughout, along with 8x8 posts will ensure the stability of this behemoth for years to come. The project took 3 weeks.

28' Deck with fenced yard

We took this new construction from being a house to a home with the addition of the large deck and fenced in yard.  The foundation of the deck will support a roof, if the homeowner wishes to add one at any point.  The composite deck boards and metal railings will last for decades.  The metal fence matches great with the handrails and was easy to install.

New deck with signature railing

This was a worn-out old deck (no before pictures because we worked too quick, sorry) where the previous builders didn't do anything to prevent water from getting behind the ledger board, which lead to rot on the house and the interior floor joists.  We managed to remove all the rot and replace the interior parts needed, seamlessly, quickly, and at a fair price (for us and the customer).  The 2x12 railing ended up being the customer's favorite spot to put up his tv to watch football during the fall. The project took a week to complete.

huge stairs added to existing deck

This huge set of stairs drops down 16ft and has 2 landings.  The builders of the deck wanted almost double the money that we ended up charging to build the set of stairs, so the customer chose us to complete the project.  Despite not doing the deck, the stairs turned out to be a seamless addition.  The project took a week to complete.

addition to existing deck with a staircase

This project had some weather and terrain challenges, but we were still able to complete the project in 5 days.  The transition from the existing deck to the new deck was completed by adding a step down, which also allowed the hose spigot to be accessed.  Stairs leading down to a steeply sloped yard presented a creative challenge, completed with some retaining wall blocks to allow the bottom of the stairs to transition to the yard without a trip hazard.  This was added to a mobile home, so the deck is completely freestanding and will be standing for a long time with the 4ft 4x4 and 10ft 2x8 gussets added for full stability.  A custom gate was also added for final touch.

New retaining wall and stairs on a 20ft tall deck

This huge deck needed some TLC.  The main part of the structure is under a roof, so it didn't need to be replaced, but the wood exposed to the elements had mostly all rotten, especially where the rock wall was stacked on top of the bottom platform.  Despite freezing cold, mountainous terrain, and snow, we were able to hand dig the area with the retaining wall, stack the dirt where the customer wanted, replace 18 stairs, and the 2 platforms in 8 days.
